Career Guide was established in 2014. The founder is James Galvin M.A., a qualified Guidance Counsellor based in Cork with 15 years educational experience.

James has studied extensively in the area of career guidance and delivers an innovative form of career exploration utilising the most up to date testing and techniques.  In addition, James is a fellow of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors and the British Psychological Society.

He is a graduate of the University of Limerick , achieving a Master of Arts in Career Guidance with First Class Honours from the University of Limerick.  He is currently the secretary (correspondence) for the mid west Institute of Guidance Counsellors and a guest lecturer on the Master of Arts in Guidance Counselling course in the University of Limerick.  As a Guidance Counsellor working in county Limerick and living in county Cork he has an extensive knowledge of CAO, HETAC, FETAC and UCAS courses available in Munster and nationally.
